Thanks for joining us!
We are a family of 5 living in Norway. A few months ago we decided to move to Botswana. Since then we, the parents, have quit our jobs, taken the kids out of school and bought one-way tickets to Botswana. Although we do not yet have any permits that guarantee residence in Botswana we hope to get that sorted in the course of the next few weeks.
Its been a few hectic months with organizing and packing in Norway. The appartement has been let out, the car is about to be sold and the final farewells will be taken. In just a few days we will board the plane and head south, leaving the cold winter behind us to step on to a hot tarmac at the airport in Gaborone (the capital of Botswana).
It is both a bit scary and exciting leaving a safe everyday life behind and entering the unknown. Luckily the country we hope to reside in is not totally unfamiliar. Both Martha (mom) and Sebastian (dad) have lived there before with their families. And luckily the kids´ grandparents currently live in a small town called Maun at the end of the Okavango Delta.
We expect the next few years to bring a lot of experiences and adventures. Keep following our story on everyday life in Botswana and Southern Africa.
